Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to kick things into high gear again in preparation for Christmas and New Years. In the past, I have always let my nutrition slide during the holiday season. I, like so many others, would gain anywhere from 5-10 lbs in less than 2 months! In the moment, it’s easy to say “Ahhh, who cares, it’s the holidays!” But then I’d spend the next several weeks after January 1st kicking myself for not just keeping things under control.
Leading up to Thanksgiving, I hosted (and participated in) a Biggest Loser-style challenge and we all experienced such success! Our winner, Todd, lost over 10% of his body weight! He will be enjoying is share of the pot (over $1,000!!).
I myself was feeling better than ever! I enjoyed my Thanksgiving, a few more cocktails than normal and more carbs and sodium than my body is used to, so I will be starting a 3-day plant based cleanse tomorrow to help get my digestion back on track. This is my favorite way to kick the cravings, lose the belly bloat and get myself back on track. I am also hosting a brand new 30-day online bootcamp to help us stay strong in the weeks leading up to Christmas. You can join my “UNSTUFFED” challenge group by applying HERE.
To help keep myself on track, I have created my weekly meal plan which includes the 3 day plant based cleanse and grocery list. I have been rocking the Portion Fix (handy color coded containers) they have been a HUGE lifesaver in simplifying things. No counting calories or points, just prep my food, fill the containers and EAT!

You may have noticed there is not a meal plan for Saturday and Sunday. I will be out of town for a wedding and then my nephews birthday party. This could mean more opportunities to get off track. My plan is to load up on lots of veggies and vegetarian protein options, limit carbs and maybe have one small piece of cake at each occasion. Then come Sunday and Monday, it’s grocery shopping, meal prep and back on track!
